After Columbia, iL Noon whistle, @midwestsirensandtrains @SWMOWoodsman and his Cousin Jackson all hopped into the car and headed to Festus. They ended up testing late but overall a success!! Sirens in Festus and Crystal City are tested the first Tuesday of the month between 1-1:30PM

Been waiting on doing this for a while!, I didn’t realize that this was going on this weekend until I looked on social media. Quite a healthy unit!!! The siren is only activated once a year to start the parade what usually happens in the second weekend of August!!

Also probed an audio recorder so how about some more!!!! Albers has 3 Thunderbolt 1000’s a half a mile from each other.

Another One that needed fixing 😁. This was recorded back in 2015 or 16…. This siren is still here and runs on the first Tuesday of the month at 11:00AM

So after the Albers ambience, I kept listening to the recording and noticed Whelens firing up, it wasn’t Germantown (they do Hi Low) so it must be Trenton…. So enjoy!!!

After hearing from @ILwarntech that this place tested the first Wednesday at 6PM back in 2021, we had a hunch they still did it. So The whole time I lived out here I could never find out when this siren was tested until I got in contact with the public, during some railfanning with @midwestsirensandtrains I stopped by and they were pretty nice. Additional Information: Time: 7:00PM Testing time: First Monday at 7:00PM Used for: Tornado warnings….Fire calls Maybe?
